Instructions to Use Bengal Gram Dal

- Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer until the dal is soft and cooked through, usually 20-30 minutes.
- Add salt and spices as desired.
- Dal Curry:
- Ingredients: Bengal gram dal, onions, tomatoes, garlic, ginger, cumin seeds, turmeric, coriander powder, garam masala, salt, oil.
- Instructions:
- Cook the dal as described above.
- In a separate pan, heat oil and add cumin seeds.
- Add chopped onions, garlic, and ginger; sauté until golden brown.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft.
- Add turmeric, coriander powder, and garam masala; cook for a few minutes.
- Add the cooked dal to the pan, mix well, and simmer for a few minutes to blend flavors.
