Precautions

  1. Patch Test: Always perform a patch test before using henna to check for allergic reactions.
  2. Pure Henna: Ensure you are using pure henna powder without added chemicals or dyes, as some commercially available henna products may contain harmful additives.
  3. Avoid Synthetic Dyes: Avoid black henna, which often contains synthetic dyes that can cause severe allergic reactions and skin damage.
  4. Consult a Professional: If you have sensitive skin or any medical conditions, consult a healthcare provider or a professional before using henna.

INSTRUCTION TO USE:

  • Instructions to Use Dried Henna Leaves

    1. Preparing Henna Powder
      • Ingredients: Dried henna leaves.
      • Instructions: Grind the dried henna leaves into a fine powder using a grinder. Sift the powder through a fine sieve to remove any large particles.
    2. Henna Hair Pack
      • Ingredients: Henna powder, water or tea/coffee decoction, lemon juice or yogurt (optional), 1-2 tablespoons of coconut oil or olive oil (optional).
      • Instructions:
        1. In a non-metallic bowl, mix the henna powder with enough water or tea/coffee decoction to form a thick paste.
        2. Add a few drops of lemon juice or a spoonful of yogurt to enhance the dye release.
        3. Optionally, add 1-2 tablespoons of coconut oil or olive oil to the paste to condition the hair.
        4. Cover the bowl and let the paste sit for 4-6 hours (or overnight) to allow the dye to release.
        5. Apply the paste to clean, dry hair, covering each strand from root to tip.
        6. Leave it on for 1-4 hours, depending on the desired color intensity.
        7. Rinse thoroughly with water until the water runs clear. Avoid using shampoo immediately; wait at least 24 hours before shampooing.
    3. Henna for Skin (Mehendi)
      • Ingredients: Henna powder, water, lemon juice, sugar (optional), essential oil (optional).
      • Instructions:
        1. Mix henna powder with water and a few drops of lemon juice to form a smooth paste.
        2. Add a teaspoon of sugar to help the paste stick to the skin better.
        3. Optionally, add a few drops of essential oil (such as eucalyptus or tea tree oil) to enhance the color and fragrance.
        4. Let the paste sit for a few hours to allow the dye to release.
        5. Apply the paste to the skin using a cone, brush, or stencil to create desired designs.
        6. Leave the paste on until it dries and begins to crack (at least 4-6 hours, or overnight for a darker stain).
        7. Gently scrape off the dried paste and avoid water contact for a few hours to allow the stain to deepen.
