Instructions to Use Turmeric Gundu (Whole Turmeric)

  1. Turmeric Tea
    • Ingredients: Whole turmeric root, water, black pepper, honey (optional), lemon (optional).
    • Instructions:
      1. Boil 2 cups of water.
      2. Grate or thinly slice a piece of turmeric root (about 1 inch).
      3. Add the grated or sliced turmeric to the boiling water.
      4. Let it simmer for 10-15 minutes.
      5. Strain the tea into a cup.
      6. Add a pinch of black pepper to enhance curcumin absorption.
      7. Sweeten with honey and add a splash of lemon juice if desired.
      8. Drink this tea once or twice daily for its health benefits.
  2. Turmeric Milk (Golden Milk)
    • Ingredients: Whole turmeric root, milk (dairy or plant-based), black pepper, honey (optional).
    • Instructions:
      1. Warm 1 cup of milk in a saucepan.
      2. Grate or thinly slice a piece of turmeric root (about 1 inch).
      3. Add the grated or sliced turmeric to the milk.
